Standing Committees

The ongoing activity of the association is carried out by volunteers.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE:  Are you an advocate? You can help promote and communicate the pharmacy profession's perspective as it relates to proposed legislation.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Have an interest in education? Get involved in identifying and recommending continuing education activities for CPA.  We provide education at two conventions each year and have an additional three live programs offered in the fall.  We also offer online and written education for our members.  Looking to provide webinars and expand our reach!  Can you help?

EXTERNAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE: Do you think our communities understand what a pharmacist does?  Help  promote better understanding of the profession and the association through a variety of public outreach efforts, marketing and public relations venues.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE: Do you like to write?  Are you an awesome proofreader?  We need volunteers to write articles for the Pharmacy Journal of New England and other CPA publications.  We also need "extra eyes" to proofread and edit the journal prior to publication.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: Are you a networker?  This committee's goal is to recruit and retain active CPA members.

AWARDS, SCHOLARSHIPS AND NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE:  Do you know colleagues who are doing something special?  How about students who may need some assistance in obtaining tools for school?  Help select candidates for the future leaders of the association, pharmacists for the association’s prestigious professional awards, and deserving students for the CPA scholarships.

BUDGET COMMITTEE: If you have a passion for numbers and a skill for budget projection, then this committee is for you.  We need business-minded individuals to help prepare the CPA annual budget and monitor investments.

BY-LAWS AND RESOLUTIONS COMMITTEE:  Are you on a board of directors for an organization?  Is governance and policy of interest to you?  The By-laws of any organization are its governing document.  Keep CPA relevant and shape the future of the organization!

To join a committee contact us by calling the CPA office at 860-563-4619 or email members@ctpharmacists.org.
