Pharmacy Technician Certification Training Programs

Introducing the Connecticut Pharmacists Association's Pharmacy Technician Refresher Program

The first 18 hour program is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 14, continuing through June 4, 2014. The course will run on Wednesday evenings 6:00 pm-9:00pm and Saturday mornings from 9am-Noon. There are 20 spaces available for the $350 course.

This course is designed for technicians who are currently registered with the State of Connecticut as Pharmacy Technicians, and who are looking to become nationally credentialed as a "Certified Pharmacy Technician."  Many retail community pharmacies require their technicians to earn national certification via the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) before progressing to a more advanced technician role, such as a senior technician or an inventory specialist.
